These are based off the original, 1938 naval henley. For Wythe's iteration, they opened up the knit a bit more to make it feel less dense, a bit looser, and added some hand details for a cleaner finish. This henley uses the same gauge of yarn throughout the whole sweater, but in 3 different plies. These plies change in seamless transitions between the body, the collar, and the hems. And this is really where the handwork shines through.
